A message from Vicki Pridmore, CEO on International Women's Day

Today I have listened to feminists, pro-feminists, anti-feminists, post-feminists and others talking about what International Women's Day means to them – which always prompts the thought, 'what does it mean to me?'

Today it means I have another opportunity to acknowledge the women in BreastScreen Victoria who contribute to the strength and creativity of the organisation, who give of their time humour and intelligence to ensure a better service.

Today I, like others reflect on the systemic issues for women around the world that limit access to education, finance, autonomy and the opportunity to improve their lives.

Today I am grateful for the many powerful women in my life who have supported me to challenge myself to be the best I could be.

Today I say thank you to the women in BreastScreen Victoria who work with me and enrich my life.
