How many days or shifts will I be responsible for volunteering for?

Each volunteer will be responsible for covering two shifts, either pre-tournament or during tournament week.

What happens if I can’t make my shift?

We ask you please call your committee chairperson as soon as you know you are unable to cover your shift. If not available, please contact volunteer headquarters.

What does my volunteer donation cover?

Each volunteer will receive a shirt, a jacket, hat, pin, meals and an additional weekly grounds pass. Volunteer credentials will act as their ground pass for the week.

Volunteers will park onsite at University Ridge, Monday-Thursday and at Verona Area High School or Epic on Friday-Sunday.

Upon arrival at University Ridge, please present your volunteer “V” hangtag to the parking attendant and you will directed to a designated area. Please use the reserved volunteer parking section during designated shifts only.

If I am no longer able to volunteer, can I receive a refund?

Refunds will not be issued after individuals receive their uniforms. Please contact Gail Perla (gperla@amfam.com) with any questions.

Can I receive a refund for any tickets purchased prior to becoming a volunteer?

No. All ticket sales are final.

Can I watch the tournament when I am not working?

Yes. Your volunteer credential will serve as your admission pass for the week and we encourage you to use it. We do ask you not wear your uniform when off-duty, so please bring a change of clothes if you plan to spectate before or after your shift. Also, you volunteer credential gives you access to the grounds only!

Can I take photographs or ask for autographs?

While you are working, cameras and recording devices are not allowed. During your shift, please refrain from asking for autographs. Soliciting autographs from tournament players with intent to sell is prohibited. You agree that you shall not seek autographs of players in order to sell such autographs, and you shall not pay another person to obtain an autograph for you.

We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling requests. Make sure to list your request in the “Work with or Committee Selection” portion of the registration process.

How and when will I receive my assignment?

When you initially register to volunteer, you will select your top three committee preferences. Once you have been assigned to a committee, your committee chairman will be in contact with you to finalize your work schedule and provide you with detailed information pertaining to your duties and meetings.

What happens if there is rain?

The tournament will take place rain or shine and we will need your help, so please be prepared! In the event of any weather delays, your committee chairperson will provide you with instructions.

Can I purchase extra uniform items?

Yes, you will be able to purchase extra uniform items. This option is available online upon registering for the event. Post registration and the week of, all purchases will be based on availability.

Why is there a fee to be a volunteer?

The goal of this event is to raise significant resources for the American Family Children’s Hospital and the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation. We hope that all volunteers will find value in raising money for local charities, getting “inside the ropes” to see some of the most accomplished professional golfers, as well as receiving a shirt, hat, meals, pin and weekly grounds passes for yourself and a guest.

New in 2019:

PGA TOUR INTEGRITY PROGRAM: The PGA TOUR Integrity Program is intended to maintain integrity and prevent betting-related corruption in PGA TOUR competitions. Each volunteer is subject to the terms of the PGA TOUR Integrity Program Manual (the "Integrity Program Manual"). The Integrity Program Manual, among other things: prohibits volunteers from betting on the Tournament and providing inside information to third parties for purposes of betting on the Tournament; and requires volunteers to report any violations of the Integrity Program Manual to the TOUR. A violation of the Integrity Program may result in dismissal from volunteering for the Tournament, among other consequences.
