ABC and Tracks Magazine: Catching waves of accolades.

Summary

If you stay 'belly down' on your surfboard, you will never be able to stand up and 'catch' the wave. Phyllis O'Donnell acknowledged the barrier as a woman to surfing in the 60s', and then set to work on breaking through the barrels and barriers by standing up for what she believed in both on and off the board.

She now resides in our Pottsville aged care home and was recently featured in our very own Bupa Media story, the latest edition of Tracks Magazine ‘The Sufers’ Bible’ as well as a catch up with Cathy Border on ABC radio following on from Stephanie Gilmore's 7th Wolrd Championship title.
